Since the French Alstom Group acquired the rail division of its Canadian competitor, Bombardier, in 2021, it has a presence in Germany of approx. 10,000 employees. Since then, Seitz has been advising the company group on a wide range of collective employment law issues and most recently achieved a milestone in the context of an extensive post-merger integration of the twelve German locations: After intensive negotiations with labor union IG Metall, a nationwide set of collective agreements was concluded to secure the locations and increase competitiveness.
Now, with the strategic and employment law support of Seitz, the implementation of the collective agreements and their accompanying agreements and, thus, the continuation of the integration of the German sites is the next step.
