Dirk Rothe provides comprehensive advice on company law to (family) businesses and their shareholders, heirs, foundations and association boards – particularly on structuring matters and at the interface with inheritance and tax law.
In addition to providing ongoing corporate law advice, his practice focuses on business succession, estate planning and cross-generational conflict resolution. In the field of foundation law, he assists with the conception and establishment of charitable and private-benefit foundations, drafts statutes, oversees recognition procedures and provides ongoing legal support in all matters relating to foundation administration, asset investment and supervision. In the field of association law, Dirk Rothe advises executive committees and members on matters relating to articles of association, liability issues, directors‘ and officers‘ liability, and the legally compliant organisation of general meetings and association structures.
Dirk Rothe studied law at the University of Cologne and completed his legal training with placements at a leading law firm in Düsseldorf, a renowned notary’s office in Cologne and the Scientific Services of the German Bundestag in Berlin. During his training, he also worked for a major international law firm in Cologne.
