Jochen Markgraf and his team opened the Düsseldorf office of our law firm in May 2023. He advises our clients on all (cross-border) matters of corporate and insolvency law. One focus of his work is on the insolvency-related restructuring and reorganization of companies.

A particular focus of his work is litigation for companies/foundations and their boards/board members in (corporate) legal disputes as well as for insolvency administrators and major creditors in the area of insolvency forensics. Also due to his training as a banker, he has special expertise in corporate finance and is one of the leading lawyers in the field of centralized settlement.

Jochen Markgraf has been listed in the JUVE and Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers rankings for many years.

He studied at the universities of Cologne, Münster and Thessaloniki/Greece. He also worked for a major Canadian law firm in Toronto for several months.
