The focus of Christopher Melms‘ advisory practice is on collective bargaining law. He supports and negotiates in-house collective agreements, company-related association collective agreements and other normative or solely contractual agreements for companies with trade unions. He assists employers‘ associations in preparing for negotiations or accompanies them during negotiations. He advises on all aspects of collective bargaining law, including, of course, industrial action law. Another focus of his work lies in supporting companies in all aspects of works constitution law, from resolution procedures and conciliation bodies to negotiations on reconciliation of interests and social compensation plans, as well as the negotiation of voluntary programs.
Christopher Melms is listed in JUVE as one of a total of 21 leading senior advisors in employment law in Germany. He is the author of numerous publications and a lecturer at specialist conferences; he is the technical chair of the German Employment Law Conference.
