Benedikt Schulz focuses his practice on restructuring and insolvency law as well as corporate law. He advises on business restructurings, including corporate reorganisations and financial restructurings, and on insolvency proceedings, including self-administration and insolvency plan proceedings.

Another key area of his practice is advising on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions in special situations, particularly distressed M&A transactions.

Benedikt Schulz is recommended as a restructuring and insolvency lawyer by, among others, the JUVE Handbook 2025/2026 and is recognised by Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers as one of Germany’s “Best Lawyers”.

He studied law in Münster and earned his doctorate on the topic of competencies and liability of the management in corporate crises and self-administration proceedings. Before joining Seitz, Benedikt Schulz was a partner at an international law firm for several years.
