Thomas Kania advises companies, in particular, on restructuring, complex personnel issues and works constitution law. In addition, he has many years of expertise in advising members of executive boards and managing directors. He regularly publishes on employment law topics, among others as co-author of the annually published standard works „Erfurter Kommentar zum Arbeitsrecht“ and „Personalbuch“.
Thomas Kania studied at the University of Cologne and worked as an assistant to and received his doctorate from Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Peter Hanau. He was appointed honorary professor at the University of Bonn in 2013 and is active as a speaker in many ways, including as a lecturer in specialist attorney training at the German Attorneys‘ Academy.
Thomas Kania is listed in various lawyer rankings and business magazines, e.g. Juve, Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers, etc. In Who’s Who Legal 2023, he is listed among the Thought Leaders Germany in the field of Labour & Employment.
