Dr. Jörg Hernler is a tax advisor in the tax law department at Seitz.
He advises national and international companies and their shareholders. His main areas of practice include international tax law, the taxation of intellectual property, the taxation of business succession, the transfer of art objects and art collections as well as the exit taxation of individuals, companies and real estate corporations.
Jörg Hernler is a co-author of the book „Geistiges Eigentum – Intellectual Property“ published by C.H. Beck and author of various publications. He is an honorary professor of tax law at the University of Paderborn.
Jörg Hernler was head of the corporate tax department of Bertelsmann AG for many years, previously head of international tax law at VOEST-Alpine AG and tax auditor at the tax office for GKBP – Vienna. He is a member of the Fachinstitut für Steuerrecht – Köln (Specialist Institute for Tax Law – Cologne), a member of the advisory board of the Münchner Unternehmenssteuerforum (Munich Corporate Tax Forum) and Of-Counsel of Wiener Treuhandgruppe – WTG.
