Sönke Plesch advises international and national companies on individual and collective employment law issues and represents clients in labour court proceedings.
A particular focus of his advice is in the area of employment law restructuring. In this context, Sönke Plesch advises in particular on negotiations with works council and trade unions. Another focus of his advice is on (employee) data protection and employment law compliance.
Sönke Plesch has been recognised by “Best Lawyers” and the German business newspaper Handelsblatt for being “One to Watch” in employment law in 2025 for the third consecutive year. He is also a regular lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
He studied at the University of Würzburg and completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf. During his legal clerkship, he worked inter alia at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and in the legal department of a DAX-listed company. Before joining Seitz, he worked for several years at two major international law firms.
